The IQuanta - Institute of Studies in Quantum Computing and Quantum Information - is an instituition of private law without lucrative ends, with direction, defined in statute, constituted of a limitless number of associates and directed for professors of the permanent picture of the Federal University of Campina Grande (UFCG) crowded in the departments of Física (DF), Systems and Computing (DSC) and of Electric Engineering (DEE) of the Center of Sciences and Tecnologia (CCT).

Its main objectives are to promote and to divulge the development of knowledge and technologies in the areas of the Quantum Computation and the Information, stimulating partnerships, the exchange of information and the quarrel of subjects related to the Brazilian growth in these areas, in all its aspects: research, development, education and services.

The IQuanta was create by the project IQUANT/FINEP/PaqTcPB/UFCG (CTinfra/02/2003).
